Remember that toy from back in the day? Some called it a viewfinder, for others it was the viewmaster, if you were extra lucky maybe it was the ViewMaster 8000. The signature color was red, and all you had to do was look into it, put in different disks, click, and there was your first image. You never knew what the image was going to be, but you clicked and clicked away, pausing for a minute on the ones you liked and clicking quickly through the ones you didn’t.

TheYouFinder is a version of the viewfinder. It is a public platform to showcase all things fresh, urbane, not so urbane, and rad, that hopes to provide you with the visual stimulation, content, and ideas to fodder the pursuit of an exciting life. We all have our own stories, interests, and life lessons to share, and we each have several “disks” that capture the multidimensional aspects that make each of us unique. TYF aims to showcase these various disks and the innovative and passionate people that are attached to them.

This blog is for young professionals and blogger enthusiasts who refuse to be solely defined by a cubicle and the 9 to 5 (even though we LOVE our jobs and feel lucky that we can actively pursue them). While we love fashion, jaw dropping architecture, and exotic recipes, we also care about the state of our world, the environment, and the many injustices global populations of people in our society face.

We know we are not the only ones with these complex and multifaceted tastes so we hope this will become a common space that will push you to think outside of the box, not allow you to put limits on yourself, and encourage you to pursue what you love and incorporate that fervor into your daily life.

TheYouFinder was conceptualized and brought to life by Katalina Mayorga, a fierce advocate of individuality and happiness. Quickly this team of one has expanded to a mash up of guest bloggers and a vibrant community who are now contributing everything from relationship advice to eco-friendly fashion.
